The Samahang Mag-aaral ng Pulitika (SMP), academic organization of the political science major at the University of Mindanao celebrated its 30^th anniversary on July 21, 2007, 7pm at Apung Kula Restaurant, Rizal Street, Davao City.

The said event was attended by their alumni (old guards) and current members. Among them were Vice Mayor Orly Amit of Island Garden City of Samal, Mayor Voltaire Rimando of Maco, and Atty. Ranoelo Leonar.

SMP is a one of the premiere organization in the University of Mindanao established in 1977 at the height of the Marcos Regime. The organization stood the test of time and produced politicians, lawyers, media practitioners, educators and public servants. smp1977.tk
